Know who your leaders are and which ones your vote counts, who to write to and watch in the media. When their term is up, which committees are they serving on, who funds those committees?
Make a map that we can hang up in the classroom. This map needs to show the people that directly impact us here in Plateau Valley. Which level of government they belong to and forth. There are two resources on the side to help get you started.

Use local news like KKCO News 11, KJCT News 8 and News 5, the Free Press, GJ Sentinel, the Plateau Valley Times.
Use any of the primary web sites that we have been studying: Colorado State, City of Gj, Mesa County, Town of Collbran and so forth.
